Discover stunning art, home accessories and jewelry made entirely by using acrylic pour. At Go With The Flow, located in Tallahassee, Florida you can choose from a myriad of unique paintings, collages and other items created with acrylic paint, it’s ‘skins’ and other embellishments.
After years of doing the tedious work of fine art restoration, I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I ditched the toxic chemicals and found my bliss with the art of Acrylic Pour. Now I let the paint guide me and, like Forest Gump’s box of chocolates, I never know what I’m gonna get!
While traveling the world, I have gotten up close and personal with various paintings by some of my favorite artists. Unable to paint like the impressionists I love, Acrylic Pour has allowed me to put my own unique spin on their style of painting. Pouring landscapes, still life and portraits, much like those masters of color and movement, give me the results that are reminiscent of the beautiful paintings I’ve been privileged enough to witness in person.
I paint with acrylics and use different mediums and pouring techniques and often combine that with painting by hand and acrylic ‘skins’ to create collages. I primarily pour on canvas, wood, wooden gesso board, tile, and glass. I will sometimes layer the paints after pouring the initial coating and may also embellish the pour by painting by hand or adding cutouts of the leftover acrylic ‘skins’ to create collages. All works are finished with either a satin or gloss varnish. All jewelry uses glass cabochons and is placed in nickel free settings. Sterling silver settings are available for an additional cost. I can also create custom paintings and other items by using your preferred colors and images, but please remember that each item is unique and can’t be replicated exactly as this medium has a life of its own!
Aside from creating art and jewelry, I also offer in person workshops to anyone interested. Whether you want to host a pour party, join a scheduled workshop or want one on one instruction, I would love to share my experience with you.
